Create & Manage Multiple Publications

Let your subscribers decide what they want to receive from you. This top-level segmentation is a way to allow your subscribers to indicate their preferences and/or interests to you. Offering multiple publications will reduce your overall unsubscribe rate by allowing your subscribers to choose only the type of emails they wish to receive from you.

Imagine you collect 1,000 email subscribers at a trade show. Using lists, you can put all 1,000 emails within a ‘Tradeshow’ list. Then, you could create 3 more lists to conduct an A/B split: 2 lists of 100 each (for the test) and 1 list of 800 (for the winning creative).

Target subscribers within your Publications! Lists you create cannot be seen by your subscribers; the use of lists is for internal segmentation purposes. Because your subscribers cannot see the lists you create, you can create as many as you would like for organizational purposes.

Get Dynamic with Filters

Using MailSquadron filters, there is nobody you can’t target! Like lists, filters are also used to target people within your publications but filter counts change as subscriber data and behaviors change. Creating a filter is like creating a real-time query on your database of subscribers.

Filters are created by specifying one or more ‘parameters’ (ie. Has opened X, Has Not opened X, Has clicked on X, etc.) Parameters are combined with ‘AND’ or ‘OR’.

Take an online electronics retailer for example: Imagine an email campaign is sent promoting multiple products: TVs, Laptops, MP3 Players, etc. Now imagine one week later, the retailer wants to send a special offer to the subscribers that clicked on a TV link but did not purchase a TV. By sharing order information and using a filter, this retailer can truly accomplish a smart, direct response, email campaign.
